Why are army recruiters telling me both i can join infantry colorblind and i cant?

I am red/green colorblind and want to be 11b infantry, apparently i have asked several recruiters online and i keep hearing "yes you can join" and "No you cant" WTF!!!! WHICH IS IT!!!!! I still see colors just cant pass that stupid dot test. Does anyone know if i was to get corrective lenses that fix the colorblind issue if they would then let me?
