So, about Da'Quan Bowers?

The Bucs managed to get him in the 2nd round, and I'm glad. He's one of my favorite prospects in the draft. I don't get the deal with his knee issue. I heard the guys on NFL Network say that it cannot get better and he can only last about 4 years in the league? Are they 100% sure that it won't get better? Can't he have some kind of corrective surgery, or just a spontaneous healing? Someone explain this to me.
