Car crash from a few years ago...who were they?

I remember they looked EXACTLY alike but never met till they were in highschool or college and they were NOT twins. They got in an accident and one lived, one died. They didn't know who was who because they looked so similar until the other came out of the coma and told everyone who she was. What were their names? It wasn't that long ago, no more than 30 years probably
