Wrongful termination?

Working at a restaurant. Been there for almost a year. New management comes in and within the first week they fire me. I am going into my finals week for school with no paycheck. I was given no warning or even a corrective action opportunity. Is this legal within a restaurant cause I know it does not fly at any other style of business. The reason they gave was that were unable to work with me. I had zero problems with previous management and it has been narrowed down to one managers decision. Any help would be great. I know nothing about unemployment cause I have never had a problem like this, I really feel mistreated.
